The Food for Life: Kids Health (FFL Kids) program goal is to focus on highlighting the positives of good foods (whole grains, legumes, fruits, and vegetables) rather than the negatives of less favorable foods (meat, dairy products, and other animal products. Children are exposed to the great taste and health benefits of eating a plant-centered diet through kid-friendly recipes approved by the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine’s (PCRM) staff of dietitians. The curriculum aims to empower children with the knowledge and skills they need to establish healthful habits to carry them well into adulthood.
The FFL Kids program curriculum is designed for a target audience of children 9 to 12 years old, in grades 4 through 6. The curriculum can be used with slightly younger children, but does not work well with children older than 12. Parent or parents are invited to attend.

The Kids Health is a 4-Week Class Series
Each class will be two (2) hours to include nutrition information, short participation discussion, food demonstration and sampling, and a class activity. All recipes and nutrition information will be included in the many handouts. Prizes will be given for game winners, etc.
Fee: $10 per child per class = $40 for the series
$5 per parent per class = $20 for the series
